Kuvaus

This episode's guest is George Nowick! He's back! If bald baritones with tic disorders are not your cup of tea, today is a good day to switch windows back to that YouTube ASMR video of paint drying via wind generated by peacock feathers.  If you haven't left by now, it's probably because your mouse battery died and you're frantically hunting for a replacement.  While you forage for power, I'll tell you about George.  He's been pretending to know stuff about voiceover, audio engineering, and session recording for something in the neighborhood of 20 years now, give or take 7 days.  When not looking for which end of a microphone to talk into, George works in the durable medical equipment field, lives on the side of a mountain, tries to write a blog, keeps up with his kids only by virtue that youth and enthusiasm will never beat age and treachery, loves walks in the rain, Nintendo Switch, and the efflorescence that is the Pacific Northwest Region. Ep 48 - Kelley Buttrick

This episode's guest is Kelley Buttrick "Easy" - "Fun" - "Nails it every time"...These are just a few of the things Kelley Buttrick's clients say about her. It's why more than 90% of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals from those clients. She's been working from her professionally-equipped home studio for more than 11 years voicing national ad campaigns, documentary narrations, promos, a train and more. Pilots know her "Bitchin' Betty" telling them what to do while they're flying.  Some of her projects include work for Disney, Yamaha, Amazon, L'Oreal, Michelin and many other household names. But, the one job left on her bucket list is voicing a nature docuseries. Before going into voiceover, Kelley worked in marketing, PR and media, and it was lessons learned from those experiences that are the foundation of her success. When she's not voicing, creating content, or making stuff, she's outside hiking, kayaking, volunteering to walk shelter dogs or traveling.  Social Instagram: @kbvoiceovers  Linkedin: Kelley Buttrick  Facebook: Kelley Buttrick Voiceover Talent/kbvoiceovers.com Websites: KBVoiceovers.com, KBCreatesContent.com, ThinkOutsideCreative.com

EP 47 - Nicola Maria Rose

This episode's guest is Nicola Maria Rose! Sharing her passion for business, brands and people. Nikki is a budding, aspiring, passionate and keen Voice Over Artist… with a difference. She understands business. She spent 20+ years working in business and marketing - creating, building and managing brands…right up to Board level. In 2014 she threw caution to the wind and took a brave leap out of the corporate world to set up her own business from scratch, a kiddies nursery. After a challenging start, a few mistakes, several curveballs, she managed to get things right and grew it into a successful little gem of a business. When the time felt right she exited out and sold up just before the pandemic. During Covid her mum fell ill, and she flew back and forth to N Ireland to help care for her. Unfortunately, she passed at the end of 2020. Sad times. In 2021 she set up another business, a consultancy for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Gradually over the three years she has organically grown in to mentoring and coaching, because that’s what her clients need. She loves helping others, and feels honored to be able to guide businesses and even individuals to have a vision, set goals and achieve them. What’s key is that she is able to share real-life experiences of having her own business, and so she has genuine empathy. She is also a great listener, which is the most important skill a mentor needs to have. She is closely linked with the Association of Business Mentors and champion their values as an ambassador of the great work that they do, and she supports them with driving awareness of mentoring and its benefits. Everyone should have a mentor! With a twist of fate, here she is! Continuing to support and promote companies to achieve their visions, she now uses her voice to bring brands and businesses to life. She is excited to have embarked on her VO journey. It’s never too late to learn something new! She started being coached in October 2022 by the wonderful team of coaches at Richcraft, with a view to hitting a big milestone of getting her reels done in March. So, she has literally just gone live, with the strap line ‘A voice like velvet’. Website www.nmrvoices.com Social NMR Voices @voice_like_velvet NMR Associates / Mentoring @guiding_with_wisdom
