In this life, we often love and forgive others when it’s convenient, but pull away when it becomes difficult. In the same way, we sometimes only allow God into the parts of our lives that are convenient or comfortable for us. And that can be challenging to have two rulers in our lives, ourselves, and God. That’s why in today’s message, Pastor Bill urges us to stop limiting God and to surrender every area of our lives to Him completely. Not just when it’s easy or just the parts we choose, but everything.

As we go through this world, we feel the need to over-prepare before we can share our faith. We think we need Bible school, or perfect knowledge, before we’re allowed to talk about Jesus. But while growth and learning are important, the truth is that you don’t need to be an expert to share what Christ has done in your life. You simply need to share the hope you’ve received. So today, Pastor Bill wants you to know that if you know what Jesus has done for you, you can share that message with someone right now.

While God does work through His people in powerful ways, it’s important to remember where the true power comes from. It is not in human ability, but in God alone. He works through His people, but He is the one who brings the change. That’s why Pastor Bill reminds you that as you follow Christ, your faith is ultimately in Him, not in people, but in Jesus Christ alone.

Oftentimes in life, we think we need an entourage or a large group of people to accomplish a mission from God. While there is nothing wrong with serving alongside others, the reality is that God is not limited by numbers. Ultimately, what we need most is faith in Him and a willing heart.
