Judge Alison Nathan was the federal judge who presided over Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal case in the Southern District of New York. Before joining the federal bench, Nathan worked in private practice, served in the Obama administration, and was nominated to the district court in 2011; she was later elevated to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, but continued handling Maxwell’s case by designation.
