my casual theme analysis: both authors’ themes are centered around the bad depiction of women

I structured this as more of an opinion piece and a discussion with the reader— not meant to be super structured and more casual critique on both of the book. Basically comparing the namesake by jhumpa lahiri and the great gatsby- why the theme similarities between Lahiri and Fitzgerald is the way they depict women in their books. I specifically touch on why Fitzgerald hides behind the idea of American dream to hide his true purpose, to shame women like Daisy for rejecting lower class men.
