This episode encompasses what I talked about in my previous episode. My grandmother Marguerite Quiles is going to go into detail about what she can recall from April 4,1968 and what her point of view was on the situation. Her experience is one of many, but it is a piece of history that will be cherished forever. She touches the topics of both equality and racial injustice, the emotions she felt and the thoughts of those around her. It is important than when history is happening right in front of you to remember it and pass it down from generation to generation. Stories of The Past by Alexis Musser, is a retelling of all my personal favorite stories and parts of history that my grandparents have witnessed and passed unto me. The above episode is just a little piece of what is soon to come. A conversation between my grandmother and I, about Martin Luther King Jr. and the unfortunate day he was assassinated. Where was my grandmother ? What was going through her mind ? Her opinion on Kings views versus that of todays. How did her brother-in-laws act, being that they were part of the infamous Black Panther Party ? All will be answered in the next episode to come !
