Surrender & Receive | Aligned & Abundant Ep. 64

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2456542/fan_mail/new] Surrender is the most misunderstood word in soul alignment work, and it's the last door of The Return. In this finale of the six-part series, I'm walking you through what surrender actually is, what it absolutely is not, and why it had to come last. Surrender is not giving up. It isn't passivity, and it isn't waving a white flag over your dreams. You still want the relationship. You still want the money. You still want the career pivot. You still take the aligned action. What you release is your grip on the how — the timeline, the method, the shape it has to arrive in. That one shift is where your nervous system finally gets to rest. I'll also tell you how this episode almost didn't get written. I sat with a blinking cursor for longer than I want to admit, white-knuckling my way through an episode about letting go. Until I finally did the thing I teach and so rarely remember to do myself — I stopped forcing, sat on the floor, and let myself feel the grief of an ending. The whole episode was waiting on the other side of that. I just couldn't hear it while I was gripping. We walk the spiral of the series back together — slowing down through ritual, somatic wisdom, ancestral healing, deepening your spiritual practice, inner authority — and you'll finally see the shape of it. None of it was separate. It was all building toward this. You cannot surrender what you haven't first slowed down enough to feel, felt fully enough in your body to understand, and claimed authority over enough to release by choice rather than exhaustion. I'm giving you a simple somatic tool you can take anywhere: the open hand practice. Think of the thing you're gripping right now — you already know what it is. Make a fist. Hold it for five seconds and feel what gripping costs your body. Then slowly open your hand and say, I am doing my part. I release the how. Your body learns surrender faster than your mind ever will. And here's the truth I couldn't have told you back in Episode 58. The return isn't a place you arrive at. The return is the practice itself. You don't complete it. You live it. Every time you catch yourself drifting and find your way back, that isn't failure — that's the practice working exactly as it's supposed to. Your permission slip: you are allowed to be a work in progress and still be whole. Your action step: find one thing you're gripping and do the open hand practice with it today.
