Kuvaus

In 2019 I decided I needed help. God led me to a 12-step meeting where He placed a woman who became my sponsor — someone who had walked through circumstances similar to mine. She gave me a daily assignment: practice gratitude and pray one simple prayer asking for God’s will for my life and the power to carry it out. What I didn’t know then was that I had been making other people my God. When I started that daily practice, things began to break apart so they could be rebuilt. This episode is short. On purpose. Because you deserve tangible things — not just inspiration. Whatever program is available in your area, I encourage you to search for it. The door is open. This story is still unfolding. Breaking the Generational Curse Started with Me

Episode Description Some things get passed down without anyone choosing them. Pain. Patterns. The way love gets tangled up with chaos. And for a long time, you don't even realize you're carrying something that was never yours to begin with. In this episode, Tricia McKenna shares one of the most personal parts of her story — growing up around and continuing to love people who struggle with substance abuse. The confusion it created. The way it shaped her. And the moment in 2019 when she decided she was done letting it define her. Not by walking away from the people she loved. But by finally getting help for her part in it. This episode is for you if you have ever looked at a pattern in your family and thought — this stops with me. If you have ever loved someone whose choices hurt you and had no idea how to protect yourself without losing them. If you have been carrying something heavy and quiet for a very long time. Tricia talks about codependency, people pleasing, setting limits with people you love, and what it actually looks like to trust God with the things you cannot control. This is not a judgment episode. It is a declaration. One woman deciding that the cycle ends here. It started with Tricia. And it can start with you too. Note: This episode covers sensitive material. Find a quiet space to listen! The fear disappointing others may be what is blocking your blessings & hindering others growth.

You were made on purpose and you’re here for a purpose so if you are prioritizing making everyone else happy well not prioritizing living out your dreams out of the fear of disappointing others, I want you to know that there’s help available and you owe to those that you will serve to get the support and mentorship that can help you feel safe enough to address this fear because the truth is those closest to you are not the ones that can help you with your fears. Are those closest to you are too emotionally connected to you to walk you through something like that we all eat we all have to deal with our own fears and insecurities in our own ways and it’s not up to our loved ones or friends to help us with that that’s why we have coaches, mentors counselors, and therapist available to help us on our journey.
