RISE Class Lunch and Learn

Join SEP RISE students as they share about this exciting upcoming event for our high school students: the Southeast Polk High School Business and Arts Career Exploration Lunch and Learn, which will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. High school students are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn more about different career opportunities to help them determine their paths after graduation. There will be a variety of businesses there for students to ask questions like, "What's it look like to do your job every day?" Don't miss it!

All Things SEP - School Safety With Chief Stallman and Captain Kramer

Altoona Police Chief Greg Stallman and Pleasant Hill Police Captain Amy Kramer talk with Dr. Dirk Halupnik about the very important topic of safety in our schools. The safety of our students, staff, and community is the district's top priority, and we strongly encourage everyone to listen to this timely episode. Chief Stallman and Captain Kramer discuss our SRO (School Resource Officer) program and the special training those officers receive to best serve our students. They also share the role social media plays in school safety and offer specific suggestions and tips to students, parents, and the community on how we can all help keep our schools safe and secure.
