Rehearsals will be starting in November or so. I am running spot for a burlesque show in early November. Netflix and Knit: Doctor Who, Parks and Rec, Friends 25th Anniversary Craftivism: Craftivst Afternoons will be returning. The coffee shop we were knitting at closed so we need a new location. Does anyone in the Tacoma/Puyallup/Federal Way area have suggestions for locations? Dates and Times?. Racism in knitting- Listen to the “Social Proofing” episode of Knitmore Girls. Little Skein Anne is kind, holds herself accountable, and is a delight to listen to. Sockmatician, Boyland Knits, and all of the things. Why is it outrageous? Can’t we fix this? Book Club: “Ain’t I a Woman” by bell hooks. Wonderful historical perspective. Healing Hands: Events: #myRhineBIPOCsweater is a knitalong hosted by Lady Dye Dyeworks and the Knitmore Girls. I am happily knitting along! PNW Yarn Crawl October 4-6, 2019. My sisters, mom, and I will be crawling on Sunday October 6.

At home I am spinning Lorna’s Laces on my Matchless and when I am out and about BLF from Allyn Knit and Spin on my Turtle Made bottom whirl drop spindle. I am using 15 minutes as a way to achieve other goals and reflect on my day/year/project/etc. In Rehearsal/Performance Hamlet is now open with New Muses Theatre Co. at the Dukesbay Theatre in Tacoma. I designed the sound and coordinated the costumes. Annie at the 5th Ave. was amazing over the holiday season. Check out Visia Grace! The Lion King at the Paramount was also fantastic. Netflix and Knit: Aquaman, Various Marvel movies and Wonder Woman, Gilmore Girls, and The Office. Craftivism: Craftivist Afternoon. Sunday March ? from 2-4 pm. Location: Downtown Brew on 115 West Meeker in Puyallup. Bring a project that will create joy, warmth, and comfort for someone in need. Start a group in your area! Ravelry thread. Racism in knitting- The comments I saw: “I don’t see color. I just see people” Is a form of white supremacy. “I’m white and I’ve been through x, y, and z.” White privilege doesn’t protect you from all the evils of the world. It’s not magic. “I just want to knit and not get involved or have my bubble burst.” That is white privilege. “Explorations in Diversity.” And the question from my class. “Me and White Supremacy Workbook” by Layla F. Saad. Blackish Use the voice we have in our fingertips, show up, but realize its not about you and just listen. Book Club: Spiral Dance by Starhawk Hard Choices by Hillary Clinton 1978/79 run of Ms. Marvel 2014/15 run of Captain Marvel (Both were read on Marvel Unlimited) Healing Hands: I have completed my Ashiatsu Certification. I am running a special at my studio, Bodywork By Bethany, in Puyallup. Contests: Just Vote! Post a picture of you voting in the Ravelry thread or by using #bskpjustvote on Instagram. If you are doing extra (volunteering at the polling station, driving people to and from polling, hosting a voting party, etc) to get the vote post another picture to get another entry. Not sure if it will be redone or made into a new project. Sockhead Cowl by Kelly McClure with Knitted Wit Love Is Love DK base. Gonna frog it. Spinning/Weaving: Started weaving my new project. It’s making slow progress. Some spinning but not a lot. A Review! Bijou Basin Ranch Gobi fingering, 65% silk, 35% baby camel, in the Valhalla colorway- sent to me by Bijou Basin to review Love the yarn! The package also came with a pattern, some to-do list note pads, and a sticker. I highly recommend this yarn!
