Daddy Issues: Learning God As Our Father

What if the wounds left by your earthly father are affecting the way you see your Heavenly Father? In this episode of Bedtime Talks with Zhan, I share a fresh revelation God has been showing me: despite my growth, healing, and relationship with Christ, I still struggle with daddy issues. As children of God, we often don’t realize how our relationship—or lack of relationship—with our natural fathers can shape the way we trust, receive love from, and relate to our Heavenly Father. In this vulnerable conversation, I open up about the negative fruit that unresolved father wounds have produced in my life and how those struggles have impacted other relationships. While I can only speak from my experience as a daughter, my prayer is that this conversation reaches everyone wrestling with father wounds including men, fathers, sons, and daughters. My hope is that it sparks healing, accountability, and restoration. 2026 is the year we break the cycle of hurt people hurting people. Healing starts by confronting the issues of the heart, and for many of us, that means addressing our daddy issues. From Wrestling God to Resting in Him | My Testimony of Peace

It's Testimony time Little Angels! Listen, since late November 2025 to about now May 2026 me and my family have truly been going through. I truly have not faced so much tragedy and heart ache before. Sometimes it's very sobering to remember your heart will still ache even in Christ. I have talked on the podcast before how much I get frustrated and how desperate I am to see change in my life. Whether it be in my finances, in my content, in my living situation, or even in healing for my family. I desire better for my family and myself. As I have been waiting I have experience being fatigued in my journey with God and tried to put matters into my own hands. Please take my story as a reminder that we can still manipulate God and try to control Him with our prayers out of desperation. Pay attention because I said "try". God does not move on our timing.
