There is shame that society conditioned into my deeply melanated body….  And in confronting that conditioning, shame naturally arises. Not because I am the shame…  But because the body remembers what it needed to do…  To be to survive…..  To belong. This transmission is about staying with what arises… Without abandoning myself inside of it. Meet me there? --- As you listen, I invite you to notice what is alive within you. Transmission 009 - Being Human in the Pause

Transmission 009 explores what it means to continue showing up even when the desire isn’t there. Not through force or performance. But by returning.... Returning to the body. To breath. Returning to the present moment long enough to feel what is alive within.  Some days the mind wants escape.   Some of those days, the body wants stillness. And... Some days emotion rises and falls like the waves of an ocean.  This transmission is an invitation to stop treating those moments as failure. It is an invitation to feel the resistance. To notice and feel the emotion.  And... It is an invitation to stay. Because perhaps being human was never about always feeling ready. Perhaps it is about learning how to remain in relationship with ourselves no matter our state of mind.  --- As you listen, I invite you to notice what is alive within you. Transmission 008 - Aligning with Self Through Misalignment

In this transmission, I sit with the discomfort that arises when something feels "off" inside of relationship with myself and another. For a long time, misalignment meant only one thing—that I must have done something wrong. To get away from the discomfort, I learned to blame the other.   Sometimes I turned that blame onto self.  Both reactions enabled me in leaving myself. Here, I explore what it feels like to stay. To notice the sensations in the body without rushing to fix or assign fault. To begin separating misalignment from being wrong and instead, receive it as an opportunity to bring me back to center. Through observation & stillness we practice.   While I certainly don’t have this all figured out, I’m learning a new way to be with myself and to see what wants my attention. Transmission 007: Where Safety Returns

In this transmission, we explore where safety can begin within the body. Not as something to force or something to get right, but as a gentle, loving return.   If it feels available, I invite you to find a place in your body where you can come back home to yourself.  Here, we begin teaching our body that it is safe to return and stay.   --- As you listen, I invite you to notice what is alive within you. Transmission 006: In the Moment

In this transmission, we explore what to return to when something gets stirred in you, especially in the midst of conflict. There might be a quick reaction. A tightening in the body. A pull to defend or to fix.  In those moments, the nervous system moves to protect. Not always because something is wrong, but because something feels unfamiliar. Instead of following the reaction, if it feels available, we practice returning.  Back to the body. To the breath. To the present moment.  We practice pausing, feeling, and staying, just a moment longer.  And from there, we learn to choose a different response.  --- As you listen, I invite you to notice what is alive within you.
