1 Corinthians 11:2-16 We’ll start off talking about the oral and written Traditions of Christianity, and a defense of the Catholic understanding of Sacred Tradition vs. the traditions of Men. Then we’ll follow Paul as he addresses what men and women are WEARING during public worship: veiling and what it meant then and what it means today, and we’llvgo into a deep dive on the dignity of women. This episode is DEEP with theology and I pray helps to understand a LOT of stuff!

Chapter 10 We’ll follow Paul through one of the best OT Bible Studies EVER as he demonstrates for us the way Christians should read the OT, including a cool Jewish legend about the rock in the desert. Then he’ll circle back around to the issue of eating animal offerings and worshipping false gods, and begin to link it with Christian worship—the Body and Blood of Jesus—Holy Communion!

1 Corinthians 7:12-9:27 We’ll continue with Chapter 7 and the detailed answer Paul gives to the questions about marriage, then we’ll see St. Paul answering questions about food that has been offered to Pagan Gods, he shares his technique of denying himself of things for the benefit of the weaker brothers and sisters to avoid scandal, he AGAIN defends himself, and shares that he is compelled to share the Good News of Christ Jesus!

1 Corinthians 6:12-7:11 Paul has been talking about sins in the Corinthian community, and being very clear that Christians must not allow sin—he charges them to judge those INSIDE but not those OUTSIDE. Today we will unpack that in great detail: Are we supposed to Judge? If so HOW??? We will also look at how he answers many questions the Corinthians are asking about marriage…

1Corinthians Episode 5

1 Corinthians 5:6 – 6:11 Physical description of St. Paul; Paul Continues with the topic of going to civil courts, which leads to a discussion how sin is like leaven in bread. What does he mean when he says we will judge the world and judge the angels? Then Paul gives one of his sin lists, and we’ll dive into the context and especially how certain sins especially harm the Temple of God.
