A record crowd of over 180 guests gathered to celebrate the 10th Annual Gerard Crock Lecture on 22 November 2018. The lecture was delivered by reknowned glaucoma specialist Professor Sir Peng Tee Khaw, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Sir Peng's lecture touched on his early inspiration to pursue a career in eye research, which stemmed from a desire to save the sight of a paediatric glaucoma patient, and the progress his research has made over the past 25+ years. Dr Carmel Crock, Head of Emergency Medicine at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and niece of the late Professor Gerard Crock AO spoke about her uncle's legacy, and most touchingly, his famously generous nature. Mrs Jacqueline Crock, wife of Professor Crock, passed on her thanks to Sir Peng and CERA for hosting an 'impressive' event. "A lot of work must have gone into organising such a seamless event," said Mrs Crock.
