Whats up Homies! I was very blessed to have been able to do a podcast with Randy Williams aka R-DUB! I grew up listening to this man on the radio all the time. I found out a lot more about his backstory and it was amazing to me. R-Dub had the will & drive to be in radio at an early age & he’s still going strong! He started his nationally syndicated radio program Sunday Night Slow Jams right here in Tucson, AZ. He now records from his home studio in San Diego & and also has a goal of visiting every country in the world. I was so genuinely happy this whole podcast you can hear it in my voice. What’s up homies?! Welcome back, as you know my name is Miguel from Lower Arizona bringing you another addition of The Cholo Stereo Podcast. This month in the studio we have from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the one and only Jabee. This podcast was about two hours long filled with super dope content, I don’t even wanna give y’all any information I just want you to sit back and listen.

This podcast I was fortunate enough to talk to Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographer José Galvez. In my opinion José is a legend in the Chicano Community. He’s been around for a very long time giving speeches at many universities around the country & taking numerous iconic photos. Since the late 1960’s José has used black & white photography to document Chicanx/Latinx life in the United States. Galvez’s photographs have been exhibited in many museums including the Smithsonian. It was cool to listen to a veterano in the game talk about the state of the country right now. He gave some great advice for people coming up in the photography game & what it means to be in the moment as well as be behind the camera. José is currently living in North Carolina but used to live in Tucson. He said he might come back to live in Tucson, let’s hope he does! This was my very first over the phone interview & I hope you enjoy it. C/S

This month I had the opportunity to finally get to talk to my homeboy El Profé Mau Magaña. He is a Professor at the University of Arizona. Last October he gave an amazing lecture at The Fox Theatre in Tucson called “Hip-Hop Culture & it’s visual impact in Mexico”. It’s currently on YouTube & I highly recommend watching the entire video. He had a lot of great things to say & he’s coming out with a book very soon. He is an amazing human & I appreciate him blessing the show.

Also We share our thoughts on the Cardi B situation & how the double standard of power appeared to me as a male & how we as men should take a step back, shut up for a minute & listen.
