The attitude of the National liberals was one of praising the German ways over those of foreign people, especially the Poles and the Slavs. They were a very influential in politics, especially in the 1870s. I started the podcast with Hitler. The Hitler phenomenon is only a special case of this riddle. In the Hitler context, I have to add something: World War II began, when HITLER and STALIN both attacked Poland and split it up. This explains why Hitler could deceive and surprise Stalin with his attack--and why World War II had such a different nasty face in the East from World War I. So, I have decided to make this my last episode and devote myself to my daughter and granddaughter exclusively, After this episode, you might understand, why I am a little fed up with humanity.
