Kuvaus

Turning 41 didn’t make me louder. It made me clearer. In this reflective birthday episode, I’m sharing four lessons that shaped me through my 20s, 30s, and into my 40s. This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s growth in real time. We talk about: * Why peace is not passive… it’s strategy * The shift from chasing spotlight to embracing stewardship * Healing my relationship with my body, including my journey with PCOS * Why friendships don’t have to be loud to be loyal I open up about fear disguising itself as humility, learning alignment over applause, navigating career shifts, and understanding that sometimes rejection is actually preparation. This episode is for the woman who is growing quieter but stronger. If you’re in a shift season too, this conversation is for you.

Podcasthon Part 2: Supporting Foster Families & Kids in Care (with Christine Roberts)

This episode is part of Podcasthon, a global movement where podcasters highlight nonprofits and the impact they’re making. In Part 2 of my conversation with Christine Roberts from A World For Children, we move from understanding… to action. We talk about: * What children in foster care need emotionally and practically * The real needs of foster families after placement * How organizations like A World for Children continue to support families * Ways you can help — even if fostering or adopting isn’t for you * Donations, programs, and community support opportunities As a former foster mom, I’ve seen how important it is for families to have support systems in place — not just at the beginning, but all the way through. This conversation is about what it looks like to show up. Because every child deserves stability. Every family deserves support. And every community has a role to play.

Podcasthon Part 1: Foster Care in Texas & the Heart Behind A World for Children (with Christine Roberts)

This episode is part of Podcasthon, a global movement where podcasters dedicate an episode to highlighting nonprofits making a difference in their communities. As a former foster mom, this conversation is deeply personal. In Part 1, I sit down with Christine Roberts from A World For Children to talk about the realities of foster care in Texas and the heart behind the work they do. We talk about: * What foster care really looks like in Texas * Common misconceptions about foster care * The challenges children entering care are facing * How A World for Children prepares and supports foster families This conversation is about understanding the need, the system, and the people behind it. If you’ve ever wondered what foster care actually looks like beyond headlines, this is a powerful place to start. 🎙️ Stay tuned for Part 2, where we shift into how we can all show up and support.

When the Magic Feels Different: Our First Disney Cruise

One square on my New Opportunities Bingo card this year said "Take a Trip". So our crew of three, my mom, my daughter, and me, set sail on our very first Disney cruise. Like most of our adventures together, the trip was full of laughter, characters, good food, and moments that reminded me how special it is to travel as a family. Standing on the balcony and looking out over the ocean slowed everything down in the best way. But like most real experiences, it also wasn’t perfect. In this episode I share highlights from our first cruise, a few moments that made me pause, and the reminder that grace matters more than perfection. Learning how to hold joy and imperfection in the same space. Because sometimes the magic isn’t about flawless experiences. Sometimes the magic is simply the people you share them with.
