IFS with Todd Adams
On this episode we discuss what "parts" work is and how it works in therapy and outside of therapy. This is a baseline educational episode on Internal Family Systems and how it has helped so many heal from anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder, eating disorders, and addiction. bonus article on IFS https://innercamp.com/powerful-ways-to-heal-trauma-with-internal-family-system-psychotherapy/
What is IFS (internal family systems)
This week, Todd Adams and I have a discussion on Internal Family Systems and how/why it works. IFS was developed by psychologist Richard Schwartz. In his work as a family therapist, Schwartz began to observe patterns in how people described their inner lives. We discuss this transformative process and why we enjoy implementing it into our own inner-work as well as our work with others.

The Power of Listening
Liz Cochran, educator, coach, and long-time friend shares her insight and experience on the importance of listening. We discuss how good listening impacts brain development of children and how it deepens our connections as adults. Enjoy!
How is everybody doing out there?
Reflection on story I heard on NPR this morning based on Death by Despair. Article discussed the increase in mortality/shortened life span in Americans due to suicide, overdose and liver disease from alcohol use. Personal message from yours truly, Shayne Adams, letting you know that there is a better way to function if you're struggling and feel that life is coming at you. Love, Shayne.
