Kuvaus

In this episode of the Equipped to Lead Podcast, Corey Couture continues the conversation on an honest question many Christian men face: How do I rebuild trust after failure? Confession matters. Apology matters. Forgiveness matters. But trust is not rebuilt overnight, and it should never be demanded through pressure, guilt, or spiritual language. Trust is rebuilt over time through truth, humility, repentance, patient faithfulness, and the grace of Jesus Christ working deeply in a man. This episode looks at the difference between forgiveness and trust, why vague confession often leads to vague repentance, and why godly sorrow is more than simply being sorry we got caught. We also talk about accepting consequences, walking in the light, resisting isolation, pursuing biblical brotherhood, and becoming trustworthy again as Christian men. If you have failed in your marriage, family, church, work, or private life, this episode is not about hiding in shame or trying to earn God’s love. Our hope is Jesus Christ, crucified and risen for sinners. Grace does not make obedience optional. Grace makes obedience possible. Listen now and be encouraged to tell the truth, receive correction, make repair where you can, and keep following Christ. Be strong. Lead well. Ep 27 - How Do I Rebuild Trust After Failure: Part 1

In this episode of the Equipped to Lead Podcast, we begin a two-part conversation on the question: How do I rebuild trust after failure? Part One is called Bring It Into the Light. When a man fails, his first instinct is often to hide, soften the truth, explain it away, or try to control the damage. But Scripture gives us a better way. Real restoration does not begin with excuses, image repair, or a big speech about how much we mean it this time. It begins with truth before God. In this episode, we look at Peter’s failure, his shame, and the way Jesus restored him in John 21. Peter denied Jesus three times, but Jesus was not finished with him. Christ brought Peter into the light, dealt with him truthfully, restored him with mercy, and called him to follow again. If trust has been broken in your marriage, fatherhood, work, church, friendships, or private life, this episode is a call to stop hiding and come to Christ honestly. Failure is serious, but it does not have to be the final word for the repentant man. Jesus restores broken men, but He restores us in the light, not in the shadows. Ep 26 - How Do I Balance Work, Family, and Church?

In this episode of the Equipped to Lead Podcast, we’re answering a question a lot of Christian men are carrying quietly: How do I balance work, family, and church? Work needs more from us. Our family needs us present. The church needs our faithfulness. And somewhere in the middle, many men are trying to walk with God without feeling stretched thin, guilty, and worn out. But Scripture gives us a better framework than just “balance.” In Ephesians 5:15–17, Paul tells us to look carefully how we walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, and understanding the will of the Lord. That means the goal is not giving every responsibility equal time. The goal is ordered faithfulness under the lordship of Jesus Christ. In this episode, we talk about why wisdom starts when we stop living reactively, why work is a calling but makes a terrible master, why our families need more than our leftovers, why the church is not optional, and how we can redeem the time instead of wasting our best on lesser things. We also walk through practical steps for evaluating our schedule, leading our homes, setting better rhythms, saying no without guilt, and putting Christ back at the center of our daily life. Men, our lives do not need to be perfect to be faithful. But they do need to be surrendered. Ep 25 - What if I Feel Burned Out?

Have you ever been tired in a way sleep does not fix? Not just worn out from a long day but worn down in your soul. Still showing up. Still working. Still providing. Still leading. Still serving. But inside, you feel empty. In this episode of the Equipped to Lead Podcast, we talk honestly about burnout, weariness, limits, rest, and learning to depend on God instead of trying to carry everything in our own strength. We look at what Scripture teaches through Moses, Elijah, David, the disciples, and the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28. Burnout is not always weakness. Sometimes it is a warning light that we have been running too fast, carrying too much, saying yes too often, and trying to fix what only God can fix. This episode is not an excuse for laziness or quitting when life gets hard. Men are called to work, lead, serve, and endure. But we are not called to destroy ourselves trying to prove we are strong. If you feel burned out, this episode will help you take one honest step of obedience. Come to Jesus. Admit your limits. Ask for help. Set the boundary. Rest well. Open God’s Word. Trust the Shepherd to restore your soul. For more resources, visit www.equippedtoleadpodcast.com [http://www.equippedtoleadpodcast.com] and download the free 7-Day Biblical Manhood Devotion.
