Is this the 3rd Halloween in a row where it has been incredibly rainy, wet and blah for the kiddies? I'm still ALL FOR welcoming an Adult Trick or Treat holiday in October! Candy, candles, clothing, office supplies... you name it! Adulting in my opinion, requires some fun to still be part of one's life. The big kid's version of Halloween at it's finest! I've been working on new recipes for T, and his daughter's food truck. Possibly... also a new theme! However, for now here are a few newbie creations during my own cancer/ORS cravings. Your Never Alone On Your Journey...🚶‍♀️

When you have those who walk beside you during the journey... The suffering becomes something that you endure, together.  They quickly scrambled to get all my prescriptions maxed out, if all possible. I still have no word or letter as promised on insurance. I assume next month, we find out the hard way. The individual who started all the false rumors. Then had others attempting to run with it over the years, causing me a great deal of problems. Not to mention, an overwhelming amount of stress. I had that conversation of the inevitable, face-to-face. They couldn't run from the truth, a diagnosis looking straight at them. Rule of life? Never listen to one-sided stories... without knowing the other side. A common theme is the expectation that past hurts should be forgotten without change, leading to the repetition of painful patterns, as seen in quotes like, "Narcissists expect everything to go back to normal, as if their actions left no scars" and "They want peace without accountability. Cancer changes you. It also changes your appearance. Even after treatments, many changes do not just go away. Other times they’re permanent. Either way, all the constant change can leave a patient feeling somehow “less than” their old self. Cancer Talk 🌻

*Podcast correction-Pessimistic, not Optimistic *** Even while not feeling well. Still try to incorporate the things that make you happy. On your good days, enjoy them to the best of your ability! Cancer will make you fight like never before... doing everything to help get you through the toughest of days. Yet, I remember when the good days...lasted more than 24 or even 48-hours. Cancer pain is the toughest pain to treat. That constant pain goes absolutely nowhere, but worse. I used my time over the years, during my good days, to create memories. Even if you realize some times it means pushing yourself. For me, it was always worth embracing those good, positive moments. The path of progression with cancer is as real as it gets. However, no one wants to be in pain either. The crazy sleep or lack of. Not being able to eat the things that once you used to crave. It really puts life into perspective. As well being aware of who is or isn't around you. THAT is MOST IMPORTANT. Life truly goes by in an instant! What really matters most is all that happiness you created for yourself and your own family of your choosing. It will help you in remembering how hard you fought.. for so long.
