Global Economic Press
In this episode of Global Economic Press, Alex Brady delves into the innovative Next Rise Summer Program launched by Next Leadership Development. This six-week initiative, which began on Monday, is designed to empower young individuals in Boston by integrating history, technology, and entrepreneurship. The program, in collaboration with organizations such as Icanpreneur, the Museum of African American History, and Boston Emergency Medical Services, aims to equip twelve youth and two young adults, aged 14 to 24, with the skills to build purpose-driven businesses, social enterprises, or nonprofits. Participants will leverage artificial intelligence-integrated technology and digital storytelling to enhance community resilience and leadership, drawing inspiration from significant historical milestones, including the 250-year celebration of United States independence and 500 years of Black history in the United States. The program emphasizes the importance of health, wealth, and culture as core pillars of resilience, providing participants with opportunities to engage with local business and community leaders. Under the guidance of experts like Vesko Kolev of Icanpreneur and Dr. Atyia Martin of Next Leadership Development, the young leaders will conduct independent field research and apply personal financial literacy and organizational financial planning. The culmination of the program will be a youth-led showcase, where participants will present their data-driven narratives and strategies to family, friends, and community stakeholders. This initiative not only aims to foster long-term community and organizational resilience in Boston but also empowers young people to become leaders in their communities.
