Meet Dee-Dee (Part 2) Medical PTSD
Dee-Dee continues her story in the second installment of her traumatic health journey. In this episode, she discusses what it was like discovering that she was suffering from medical PTSD, what the symptoms of this can be, and how you can find help. Dee-Dee is remarkably candid and open about her experience and wants to share a message of hope and inspiration with others that may be dealing with similar problems. Listen and see why her journey is "sideways" and doesn't refer to being "through," "around the corner," or "done."
Meet Dee-Dee
Dee-Dee has expereinced a myriad of auto-immune related problems in her life. She managed to persevere through self-will, support of loved ones, and an unwavering desire to find answers. This episode is only the beginning of her "sideways" story. Dee-Dee courageously explains her medical history and takes us to the lowest points in her life. The trauma expereinced from having multiple near death experiences resulted in medical-related PTSD. She sheds light on how this often missed diagnosis can happen, and then gives hope, inspiration, and healing!
Meet Kim
Kim has an AMAZING story! She took a very non-traditional approach after being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. She refused the typical medical approach and spent 18 months without any medication before finding the GI Cure Protocol. It was a long road, with some terribly low points. Kim is open about her struggles, what worked and what did not. As of the podcast, she has now gone 3 years without UC symptoms. Listen to this inspiring story and get the hope you need today!
Meet Gordon
Gordon is an amazing man with insights into life that only can come through going through trials. He is a member and mentor for the incredibly helpful group, FoodAddicts.org. For many people with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) or Crohn's, it's difficult to have a healthy relationship with food. This is compounded by the fact that food is seen as the culprit - or at least exacerbates - the problem. The Food Addict questions referenced in the podcast can be accessed HERE [https://foodaddicts.org/am-i-a-food-addict]. Learn more about how we can find hope, inspiration, and healing by recognizing and accepting addictive behaviors.
