24. [Accessing the Well] Connect to Your Needs & Feelings With This Tool
Kate so elegantly introduces the concept of a needs and feelings list, which is a now ubiquitous self-help tool that was originally developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D founder of the Non-Violent Communication movement. In today's episode, Kate 1) first gets the listener centered in their present moment experience, 2) normalizes the common conundrum of not having learned an extensive emotional vocabulary growing up, 3) reminds the listener that yes, you have needs and feelings, and it behooves your personal development and relationships to understand those needs and feelings and to learn how to respond to them. Listen in for Kate's unique perspective on the importance and use of this tool. 23. [Accessing the Well] Agreements in Relationships
Welcome back to another episode of Infinite Well. We're staying strong with this season's focus on healthy relationships. Nat walks us through 1) the importance of setting clear agreements in our intimate relationships, 2) why it's best to develop these agreements early on in the relationship (though it's never too late!) and 3) how to go about developing clear agreements with our partner. 22. Setting & Maintaining Boundaries in Intimate Relationships
Following Nat's Accessing the Well episode in which she shared her fave boundary-setting tip in professional settings, Kate said, "Great!" and then understandably asked, "But what about in our most intimate relationships. How do we do that?" This started a conversation about: 1) how boundaries are not only what we say "no" to, but also what we say "yes" to, 2) how to set boundaries around our space, time, energy and money, 3) asking for our needs to be honored in intimate relationships, 4) seeing boundaries as something that are good for everyone, and ultimately give us more freedom and enjoyment in our relationships. We hope you learn something. As always, take what works and leave what doesn't. Until next time, be well. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/infinitewell/message
