Caio starts the morning behind Barraca Sol, riding past the valet roof and into the staff side of the hotel. He fixes the stand, banters with Bento, and notices the new lifeguard before the uniform even goes on. Tiago arrives for his first shift, takes the chair above the deep side, and learns the pool from above. From there, the deck becomes routes, rules, water, guests, and the places where people forget to pay attention. Then Juan arrives through the front entrance, where the valet already knows his name, Marcelo knows his usual row, and the pool still follows the rhythm he expects. But this day does not stay usual. Juan notices Tiago. Caio notices Juan noticing Tiago. Tiago keeps looking back toward Barraca Sol. A dive changes the angle. A sunbed moves closer. A burger order is remembered before it is spoken.
