Longtime sports-talk radio host Shawn Drotar (@sdrotar) and hospitality expert nonpareil Erik Trujillo (@lilet88) visit Resolute Brewing (www.resolutebrewingco.com [http://www.resolutebrewingco.com/]), a hidden gem in the busy Denver Tech Center area that’s very near to where Shawn hosts his weekday radio show at Mile High Sports. Shawn may be a regular, but Erik’s never been, so Resolute’s Katherine Parris joins the duo to talk about the seven-year-old brewery’s success with its wide variety of rotating brews, its dedication to their motto of "Community, Craft, Culture"… and how they come up with some of the most creative names in the business.

Bierstadt Lagerhaus

They remedy that with Kira Martinez, who’s been there since the former book-bindery-turned-brewery and tap house opened. She explains their dedication to traditional German brewing purity laws ("Reinheitsgebot") and discusses the challenges of creating great lagers. Shawn and Kira discuss "The Big Lebowski" at the bar — which was reclaimed from Denver’s legendary Elitch Lanes — and after discussing how much room there is for activities, Kira and Erik wonder if they just became best friends.

Shawn teases Erik about his unfamiliarity with some of the lounge’s 1980's arcade games, and Erik teases Shawn about… being old enough to have played them at all.
