Pirate Gold announced field spectral analysis has identified alunite and pyrophyllite alteration across more than 3 km of outcrop and sub-crop at its Clipper Brook target, located 12 km east of the Moby Dick copper-gold discovery within the Crippleback Intrusive Suite. CEO Denis Laviolette spoke to Mining Stock Daily. The alteration sits within a broader electromagnetic resistivity low spanning over 10 km, closely matching the geophysical signature that defined the 3,100 m by 850 m Moby Dick zone, where drilling previously returned 0.54% Cu Eq over 180.8 m, including 1.48% Cu Eq over 49.4 m. The company says the presence of alunite indicates limited erosion and a well-preserved mineral system, and with drill permits now in hand, Pirate Gold is preparing to test Clipper Brook as a second district-scale target on the property.
