April 14th, 2025: We aired a segment featuring an interview conducted with a representative of the Columbia University local chapter of the UAW. Recap of the Defend Harlem community clean-up which took place on April 13, 2025 and interviews from members of the organization, and guest speaker, Dapper Dan, an influential member of the Harlem community. Special News March 5th, 2025: Milstein Sit-In Live Coverage

On March 5th, 2025 we aired live coverage and hourly updates of a sit-in held by Columbia University Apartheid Divest in the Milstein Center for Teaching and Learning. An hour long segment aired later in the evening on March 5th and is available for a more comprehensive recap of the protest. Hosted in-studio by Georgia Dillane, featuring contributions from several of our field reporters.

1968 Series: Part 1

On April 24, 2025, WKCR aired the first part of a multi-part series on the 1968 protests that took place at Columbia University. This series invites reflection on the protests of 1968 not just as a moment in history but as a powerful lens for interpreting the struggles on Columbia’s campus today. By revisiting the voices, demands, and conflicts of that year we explore their lasting impact on the university's structure and how they can inform our response to the challenges and repression confronting our community this year.
