February 24th On this day, Kwame Nkrumah was the leader of Ghana from 1957 until this day in 1966 when he was overthrown in a coup d’état at home while on a peace mission to Vietnam.  From 1945 until his death, Nkrumah was the greatest advocate of Africans from all over the world to go back to the continent. February 27th On this day, Anna Julia Haywood Cooper rose to become one of the best-educated Black Women ever.  She went on to earn a PhD at the Sorbonne in France, and excelled as an educator, university founder, author, sociologist, feminist, and an activist against all oppression.  She published a seminal book, A Voice from the South, considered to be one of the first major works on feminism.
