Sarah Elston is a hope-punk theatre artist, an old soul who has a way with words, and someone I feel very fortunate to call a dear sister. In this episode, Sarah recounts the time in her teen years when she was, in fact, struck by lightning and the changes the event brought to her relationship with herself and her perception of reality. This conversation with my friend and colleague Regan Simpson was recorded in the end of July shortly after Regan made the decision to step away from social media, despite it previously being a marketing tool in her online business. I invited Regan onto the podcast to hear about what lead her to make this decision, and this conversation actually ended up inspiring me to take a month long break of my own from social media. I believe the fixation with manifestation in the pop-spirituality world is a result of how individualistic the collective consciousness is at present. I see people often get into the "manifestation" scene and use it as a way to pressure themselves even more (in the hopes of the fulfillment of their desires meaning something about their individuality)! In this episode, I vibe on how our individualism is affecting the world, explore how trauma keeps us looping at this level of consciousness, and share an experience I had where I let go of my attachment to my individual experience of my desired manifestation... and the true magic that came as a result! I have so much more to say on this topic in the future. It's something I'm unpacking in my own life, and I'd love to hear your experiences with it too if you feel interested in sharing :) Connect with me on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/amandalee.flow/] Subscribe to my newsletter to stay up to date [https://mailchi.mp/b58ecca22f30/newsletter-sign-up]

In this episode (recorded December 2021), Roselle, a Functional Nutritionist, shares the intimate details of her journey from being in the Navy a few years ago and experiencing health difficulties to today creating a business where she gets to support others on their healing journey! We talk about how challenging it can be initially to find the courage to carve your own path when it feels like you'll let everyone in your life down, but how doing so can ultimately lead to greater physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. This episode was recorded while drinking wine and watching the sunset on the porch of our awesome little apartment overlooking the ocean in Mexico in November of 2021. We were nearing the end of our long backpacking trip throughout Mexico when we met our guest, Valeria Casavantes. I was originally drawn to her unique art, and then when I learned she had just recently returned to Mexico (her home country) from a solo trip to Africa, I knew we had to have her on the podcast to hear her stories. In this episode, we talk all about travel. Valeria shares her stories of being a solo female traveler in Africa and Itai and I reflect on our experience backpacking in Mexico. Together we talk about the impact you can make on a place traveling and that a place can make on you IF you muster the courage to get outside of the bubble of your comfort zone. If you listen to this and feel inspired to travel, please please think about ways you can really help the place that you’re visiting. Please be mindful of the places you are choosing to stay and the impact they have on the environment and the local people who call this place home.
