Michele "Missy" Avila oli jakson tapahtumien aikaan 17- vuotias nuori. Lokakuun alussa vuonna 1985 Missy oli ulkona ystäviensä kanssa. Hän ei kuitenkaan koskaan palannut kotiin illanvieton jälkeen. Muutamia päiviä myöhemmin hänet löydettiin murhattuna. Tapauksen ratkaisua saatiin odottaa useamman vuoden ajan ja syyllisten henkilöllisyys järkytti useita ihmisiä.
