Jarrod is back with a pitch on why you should read the 1988 Starman book featuring Will Payton. Written by Roger Stern with art by Tom Lyle, the two creators take a new character and place him in the southwestern United States and let him learn to be a hero. Find out what happens to Will Payton when he wakes up after a nap under the stars and finds out that he’s been dead for a month. Intro and outro music by James Warren. After 3 months, the Starman Supper Club has returned! Jarrod is joined by his Spectacular Timeline co-host Devin to review issue #2 of DC Comic’s Starman. Jack Knight has been knocked down, but he’s not giving up yet. (But he will continue to remind himself that he is not Starman.) This issue sees the iconic Starman costume being assembled, a villain alliance, and the foreshadowing of many storylines to come. All quotes from the book are written by James Robinson and are a copyright of DC Comics. Starman Supper Club is a no-frills podcast that serves as a book club for listeners to read along with Jarrod and see how their opinion compares to his.

Devin returns after a year, and you know what that means. It’s the first episode of Spectacular Timeline! Join Jarrod and Devin as they review the Teen Titans story "Then & Now" from Teen Titans (1996) #12-15. Written and pencilled by Dan Jurgens, with finished art by George Perez. (Rest In Peace to the legend.) This story has the new Titans group teaming up with former members Nightwing, Tempest, The Flash (Wally West), and Arsenal to solve a mystery years in the making? Is it a good read? Does it hold up to what Jarrod remembers from reading this at age 17? Join us and find out. Outro music by James Warren.
