Kuvaus

After battling with PTSD and contemplating his own life - Danny a former police officer of 23 years,  shares how Psilocybin Therapy saved him. He saw the retreat as his “last hope”, and  what happened for him was “miraculous”. When he returned home, his family noticed his positive shift right away and he no longer suffered with the debilitating symptoms of his PTSD. Fast forward 4 years later and Danny has come back to interview with me and share that this wasn’t just a retreat, it was a life altering decision that has forever changed him. When Danny decided to try Psilocybin Therapy, he was very hesitant - like many people, he saw it as an illegal drug. He had no idea the massive impact it could have on his life, after his dark battle with PTSD. The most mind-blowing part of it all…he didn’t even have a “Trip”.  Danny is now an advocate for Psilocybin Therapy and encourages anyone who is struggling like he was to consider this therapy.   We are affiliated with the Imperial College of London - Psychedelic Research Centre   Arcadia Healing Sanctum - Retreats: Arcadia Healing Sanctum   Apply: Here [https://www.arcadiahealing.ca/apply]   Free Consultation: Book Here [https://arcadiahealingsanctum.as.me/schedule/e1ad3149/appointment/35241276/calendar/6353324?appointmentTypeIds%5B%5D=35241276]

#62 Stop Avoiding the Conversation: Conversations Can Heal

We spend so much of our lives trying to avoid discomfort. We avoid difficult conversations, hold back our truth, and convince ourselves that staying silent is keeping the peace. But what if avoiding discomfort is actually causing us more pain? In this episode, I explore how vulnerability can become one of the greatest ways to honour yourself and your truth. I share why avoiding uncomfortable conversations is like slowly pulling off a Band-Aid, we may think we're protecting ourselves, but we're often prolonging our own suffering. We also talk about the difference between speaking from blame and speaking from vulnerability. What if, instead of accusing someone, we simply shared how their words or actions were personally interpreted by us? While these conversations can bring up triggers, defensiveness, and discomfort, I've found that when we're willing to move through that discomfort with compassion, something incredible happens. We feel empowered, we build self-trust, and our relationships often become deeper and stronger. This isn't easy, and it's something I'm continually learning myself. In this episode, I share my own experiences with vulnerability and why I believe choosing temporary discomfort is often the path to deeper healing, stronger relationships, and a more authentic connection with yourself. #61 Are You Triggered Often? Your Emotions May Be Trying to Tell You Something

This episode has the power to change the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the challenges that show up in your life. We're diving into the uncomfortable but transformative world of triggers and exploring how the people and situations that affect us most can become our greatest teachers. Through my own experiences, I’ll share how unresolved pain from the past can keep us stuck in old patterns, and how bringing awareness to those patterns allows us to release what no longer serves us. My hope is that this conversation helps you reconnect with your truth, soften self-judgment, let go of emotional baggage, and step into a more authentic, grounded, and empowered version of who you truly are.   If you are enjoying this podcast please send a link to a friend you think could benefit:)    Connect with me: Follow me on IG: @iamtaraportelli [https://www.instagram.com/iamtaraportelli/] Learn about my Retreats: www.arcadiahealing.ca [http://www.arcadiahealing.ca]     #SelfLove #PersonalGrowth #HealingJourney #Authenticity #EmotionalHealing #InnerWork #SelfAwareness #Transformation #Empowerment #SpiritualGrowth #ConsciousLiving #MentalWellness #HealingTrauma #ShadowWork #RelationshipHealing #PersonalDevelopment #InnerPeace #SelfDiscovery #Mindfulness #HealingThroughAwareness #GrowthMindset #EmotionalIntelligence #AwakenYourPotential #ComeHomeToYourself #TheTruthWithin

#60 Who Are You When No One Is Watching? Reclaiming the Truth of Who You Are

What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn't your circumstances...What if it's the stories you've been telling yourself? In this week's podcast, we're diving into the gap between our intentions and our actions, the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, and why true self-love begins with radical honesty. So many of us live our lives telling stories about who we are, but who are you acting as? That is the question. For many of us, there's a gap between our actions and our intentions. We have been lying to ourselves. When you can get real with yourself and take accountability for your actions, walking in your truth becomes that much easier. Why are we so afraid to be honest with the people we love? Why do we feel the need to tell people we are good people, yet at times we act in a different way? Why is it that we do not walk in alignment with our own values? These conversations with ourselves are not easy, but if you want to truly live as your authentic self, they are necessary. When we can be real with ourselves, we can stop abandoning our truth. We can truly begin to love ourselves and honour those parts of us that have made mistakes, knowing they are part of our growth. This week's podcast is an opportunity to dive deep inside yourself, let go of the masks, become the real you, and ask yourself the hard questions. Because the relationship you have with yourself is built on truth, and self-love cannot exist where self-deception lives.   If you are enjoying this podcast please send a link to a friend you think could benefit:) Subscribe, rate and review..gives me the opportunity to get this to those that need it.   Connect with me:  Follow me on IG @iamtaraportelli [https://www.instagram.com/iamtaraportelli/?hl=en] www.taraportelli.com [https://www.taraportelli.com/]   #SelfLove #Authenticity #Truth #PersonalGrowth #HealingJourney #InnerWork #SelfAwareness #ConsciousLiving #AuthenticSelf #EmotionalHealing #GrowthMindset #Transformation #Mindset #Healing #SelfDiscovery #SpiritualGrowth #Accountability #InnerHealing #RelationshipWithSelf #LifeLessons #PersonalDevelopment #SelfReflection #Awakening #Podcast #RedefiningLove #TaraPortelli

#59 The Dark Side of Self-Love No One Talks About

Have you ever had a moment where you realized the life you were living didn't fully match the person you knew you were meant to be? A moment when you could see the subtle ways you were giving away your energy, compromising your boundaries, or accepting less than you deserved while telling yourself you were simply being kind, open, or compassionate? In this episode, we explore the often painful awakening that comes when we begin to see where we are not truly honouring, valuing, or respecting ourselves. Through a deeply personal story of reflection, self-discovery, and transformation, I share how recognizing the gap between who I was being and who I envisioned myself becoming became the catalyst for profound change. This conversation is an invitation to look at how you're showing up in the world, who you're allowing into your life, and whether your actions, relationships, and energy align with the future version of yourself. Because sometimes the greatest act of self-love is having the courage to see where you've been out of alignment and choosing to step fully into your own worth.
