The multiple Grammy-nominated artist has also sold millions of records in his career. Not a stranger to duets and crossing genres, Maxi and Roberta Flack’s timeless classic ‘Set The Night To Music” achieved the top 10 on the Billboard charts. Maxi has been collaborating with other artists since the 1980s from up and coming to well-established– including 90’s dancehall and reggae icons: Shaggy, Shabba Ranks, Apache Indian, Beres Hammond, and Sly & Robbie. Todays show starts with Nas & Damian Marley - Leaders, this song is an ode to all the leaders in the black community. In the first verse, Nas praises and raps about the style of an un-named leader. Count Your Blessings is the 2nd song in a twin spin from the album Distant Relatives its a collaborative studio album by American rapper Nas and Jamaican reggae vocalist Damian Marley. It was released on May 18, 2010, by Universal Republic and Def Jam Recordings. The album is Nas' 10th and Marley's fourth studio album at the time of the release , respectively. Distant Relatives was recorded between 2008 and 2010, being produced primarily by Damien and Stephen Marley. Fusing musical elements of hip hop and reggae, it features lyrical themes concerning ancestry, poverty, and the plight of Africa. It features appearances from K’naan, Stephen Marley, Dennis Brown, Junior Reid, Joss Stone and Lil Wayne. Damián Currently enjoys sold out success on his Jam Rock Cruise that has been leaving from Ft Lauderdale to Montego Bay for the last 6 years.
