Reign Supreme Alway: Sports in Clemson
All right college sports fans, let’s stop calling it the Clemson football offseason and start enjoying the preseason! Coach Dabo Swinney and his squad have a lot of work to do if they’re to improve on last year’s disappointing 7-6 record. In this episode, part of our Clemson Football 2026 Season Preview content, we’ve got details on three of the key areas where the Tigers need to show advancements on both sides of the ball: Dictating a physical tone of play, eradicating fundamental mistakes, and controlling the running game. We’ll talk about some of the new expected starters, who include Christopher Vizzina at quarterback and Gideon Davidson at running back, as well as position groups like the defensive line and offensive line that must rediscover the level of play that brought Clemson two national championships in the last 10 seasons. Second-year defensive coordinator Tom Allen seeks a physical identity for his defense, and new (but familiar) offensive coordinator Chad Morris and his QB, Vizzina, have to get on the same page. Join us for all this analysis as the season opener at LSU approaches!
