The Classic Era of YouTube (Early 2000's to Mid 2010's).

Jon and Ramona take a deep dive into the world of early YouTube when anything could go.  From iconic classics like Charlie Bit my Finger to Charlie the Unicorn, to names like Fred, Smosh, Ryan Higga.  YouTube was a place where people could go to unwind and watch some videos for fun.  As the 2000's near an end, YouTube takes on a different landscape and becomes a lot more commercial and cinematic compared to it's original days.  As monetization, ads and formulas begin to take over.  Have we lost something truly historic or has the change happened for the better.  Find out in this new episode of Rewind Room.

The Console Wars of the 2000s. (Playstation, Wii and Xbox).

In this episode, Jon and Ramona discuss the pop culture phenomenon, which was the console wars of the early 2000s. Which was an era where three companies SONY, Microsoft, and Nintendo all went head-to-head to become the three biggest video game developers of the era with these great devices came the fans as well as the services they offered. Everyone was trying to outdo the other, and some devices had features that others didn't, and others had bigger fan bases than others.  Which one was the most popular? Who had the biggest fan base? 2000s Movie Marketing

Kicking off Season 2 of Rewind Room, Jon and Ramona reminisce on how movies were marketed in the early 2000s when they were both children.  They look at, how trailers and TV Spots dominated the airwaves to expose films to the public.  As well as how every day items, such as food, toys, video games, or even regular products or brands help sponsor big name movies.  They also look at the rise of how the Internet started helping market movies, especially with the iconic Blair witch project website, and the infamous Dark Knight ARG game.  They look back in time you will not want to miss on this new season of Rewind Room.

As 2025 rounds out.  Ramona and Jon take a moment to reminisce on the first year of Rewind Room.  Looking back on why they decided to do this podcast, their favorite memories, as well as what the future will hold and a sneak peak of Season 2.  We look forward to 2026 and Season 2.
