This episode, we highlight some of the great events/talks/lessons learned and interviews from amazing speakers at the 2021 CWIS Summit, Denver, CO. This month we introduce a new series we'll be intermittently running on the Ribcast called the "Riblets".  The series will guest host various general surgery residency and fellowship groups from institutions across the globe- they'll take over the Ribcast and produce whatever kind of episode they want! Today we welcome Dr Jordan Kirsch (Trauma Critical Care Fellow), Dr Erin Andrade, and Dr Annie Hess (General Surgery Residents) from Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis in producing a journal club episode. In fact it was Dr Kirsch who came up with the series name- The Riblets... Thanks Wash U for stepping it up!

In Todays episode we welcome Dr Peter Cole (well known to many as one of the kings of Scapula ORIF), in discussing all things scapula and more. Specifically we’ll focus on recognizing surgical orthopaedic injuries associated with rib fractures and SSRF, lateral implosion forequarter injuries, indications and outcomes for scapula ORIF, and the need for combined care strategies in these complex chest wall injured patients.

In Todays episode we will be discussing the second part of our industry vs expert relationship series.  Last week we had the opportunity to explore the topic with two of CWIS's prominent members, Dr Adam Kaye and Dr Marc DeMoya; this week we hear from two of CWIS's core leadership, Dr Tom White and SarahAnn Whitbeck.
