Kuvaus

Is your patient's low back pain, hip pain, or persistent movement dysfunction plateauing at 75-80% recovery? Maybe it’s time to look around the corner! In this episode, we bring together an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist to explore how collaboration between specialties can uncover hidden contributors to pain, improve outcomes, and provide comprehensive care. Discover when to refer and why the best treatment plans often start with a conversation between colleagues After graduating from Hunter college/CUNY and beginning her career at The Hospital for Special Surgery, Christina relocated to Arizona, working primarily in hospital-based clinics including primary care, specializing in outpatient orthopedics. Christina is an ABPTS Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and has completed advanced certifications in Empowered Relief, Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS), Hybrid Teaching and Learning and Advanced Functional Biomechanics of the Lower Quarter. While working in a university based medical system, she precepted medical students, orthopedic, sports and family practice residents and fellows, as well DPT /PTA students as a CI throughout her career. In addition to her current clinical and SCE roles, she teaches as adjunct faculty for several hybrid DPT programs. Hélène Bouchard PT is a dedicated and empathic pelvic floor physical therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience, including over 15 years specializing in pelvic floor therapy and pain management. She is committed to helping women, men, transgender individuals and children achieve pelvic health wellness through targeted education and empowerment. Her clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of pelvic health conditions, including urinary and fecal incontinence, urgency, prolapse, pessary management, post-surgical rehabilitation, dyspareunia, and sexual dysfunction. With a deep understanding of pelvic health across the lifespan — from early childhood through menopause — she supports clients in reaching their individual goals, whether that involves continence, postpartum recovery, return to sport, perimenopause management, or post-prostatectomy rehabilitation. Hélène has pursued advanced training in dry needling for the lumbopelvic-hip complex, achieving strong results in the treatment of orthopedic conditions, sacroiliac dysfunction, and pain management. She holds additional expertise in vestibular disorders and neurology, and brings a passion for teaching to her work with clients and colleagues alike. She is fluent in both English and French.
