Author and researcher Stacey Guill joined us once before to talk about her book “The Stone House in the Canyon,” about Mary Hallock Foote and her history in the Boise area. This time, Stacey is diving deeper into some of the amazing history of Ernest Hemingway. This journey, she takes us to Spain during the Spanish Civil War. As Mary’s husband Arthur struggled to engineer waterways around the city, Mary did illustrations for Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorn, and some publications that brought our pioneer western life into the awareness of people living in the east.
