When You Didn't Get the News You Wanted (John 9:3)

This episode is deeply personal and, honestly, I’m still processing it. Over the weekend, I heard about a mother, an unexpected diagnosis, and a choice a woman should never have to make. (It hit particularly close to home, because of the many years I've spent volunteering with families, who know what it's like to get the same news that she did.) My heart is absolutely shattered for her, and I hope this conversation opens your mind and softens your heart, and perhaps you may find that some of the unwanted news you've received in your life can still be displays of God's greatest works. Raise Your Dating Standards (1 Corinthians 13:11, Proverbs 18:22)

You keep saying you want a man who will lead you, pray with you, and show up for you, especially when things get hard. Yet, you continue to date (and get sad over) the most childish of losers who are nowhere near ready to be a husband. In this encore episode, we answer a DM from Christine, who is actively going through (and failing to get over) a breakup, and he continues to lead her on and send her mixed signals. As much as we can get annoyed with his actions, we have to take accountability for how we're repeating mistakes and need to start dating differently (and raise our standards in every area or our lives) and PUT GOD FIRST.
