Our latest guest on Soundtracking is actor Benicio del Toro, who joins us to discuss his role in Wes Anderson's latest film, The Phoenician Scheme. Benicio heads an extraordinary ensemble cast as Zsa-zsa Korda, a wealthy businessman who appoints his only daughter, a nun, as sole heir to his estate. As Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists and determined assassins.
It's bonus time, as we bring you a second episode of the week, recorded at Screen On The Green in Islington, London, as part of our Everyman Soundtracking Film Club. Edith is joined on stage by director, Babak Anvari, and actor Rosamund Pike to discuss Hallow Road following a screening of the movie. It tells the story of a married couple who receive a distressing late-night call from their teenage daughter, and set off in their car to find her. Communicating via mobile with her en route, events get progressively disturbing. Hallow Road is scored by Peter Adams and Lorne Balfe, who very kindly shared their as yet unreleased score with us.
