Many people enjoy listening to music and they appreciate the music that the artists give to them. But does a fan ever wonder what happens behind the scenes of getting a song out to the public other than just hearing it? In this episode, Shelly and Danita want to inform the general public about all the steps it takes from creating a song, deciding if it gets recorded, where to record and who to record with, the cover art - who will do the photography, what radio stations to release to, how the songs get to radio stations and all the costs involved in doing so. They also talk about the returns on their investment from their music and how they get paid from different types of royalties.
