Sunday Sermons
This powerful message takes us into the throne room of heaven through Revelation chapter 5, where we witness the Apostle John experiencing a dramatic crisis that left him weeping uncontrollably. The scene unfolds as a strong angel proclaims a question that echoes through eternity: Who is worthy to open the scroll and loose its seals? When no one in heaven, on earth, or under the earth could be found worthy, John wept much—not just crying, but sobbing and wailing aloud. What makes this moment so profound is the contrast between two responses: John's weeping as he focused on the problem, and the twenty-four elders' worship as they kept their eyes on the solution. This teaches us a crucial spiritual truth—we need what this message calls a backstage pass, which is our access to divine understanding through worship, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit. Like audience members watching a drama unfold, we often experience anxiety because we don't know the script. But when we worship, we gain privileged access to God's perspective. We see beyond the immediate crisis to the Lamb who was slain, the Lion of Judah who has prevailed. The enemy sits in the back row, unable to understand the mysteries of God, while we who worship are invited backstage to see how the story truly ends. This message challenges us to ask ourselves: Do we have a backstage pass? Are we maintaining our access through consistent worship, prayer, and immersion in Scripture? The call is clear—keep oil in our lamps, stay ready, and let the anointing flow through us to touch a lost world.
