Surf Report Tampa Florida
Good morning beach lovers! Welcome to your West Central and Southwest Florida surf zone forecast for Monday, June twenty-second through Tuesday, June twenty-third. Let's start with the big picture: if you're planning a beach day, you're in for a real treat. We're looking at consistently calm conditions across all our beaches, with plenty of sunshine and some seriously scorching heat. For today, expect glassy conditions with surf heights holding at one foot or less. The water is sitting in the mid to upper eighties, so it's warm and inviting. Rip current risk remains low throughout the region, though as always, exercise caution near groins, jetties, and piers where these currents can still be hazardous. Here's the important part: the UV index is rated extreme today. That means sunscreen is not optional, folks. We're talking SPF fifty plus, reapply frequently, and seriously consider those UV protective shirts if you're planning an extended beach session. The winds will be light, generally coming from the south and southwest around five to ten miles per hour, becoming westerly in the afternoon. It'll be one of those days where the beach feels peaceful and serene. Now let's talk temperatures. The northern zones around Hernando and Pasco will see highs in the upper eighties. Meanwhile, down in the central beaches of Pinellas and Manatee, we're looking at lower nineties. And if you're heading down to Charlotte County or the Fort Myers Beach area, bring that water bottle because we're forecasting lower nineties as well. Tonight will cool things down just slightly. Expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower eighties. Winds will lighten up even more, shifting to the west and northwest. Another perfect evening for a sunset stroll. Moving into Tuesday, we're looking at more of the same excellent conditions. Sunny skies, lower nineties for most areas, with light westerly winds. Surf heights will remain at one foot or less, and rip current risk stays low. The extreme UV index continues, so remember that sunscreen. Zero thunderstorm potential across all zones means you can plan your beach day with confidence. No afternoon pop-ups to worry about. One final note: pay attention to your local tide times. They vary slightly depending on which beach you're visiting, but we've got high tides in the morning hours and afternoon lows, so you'll have plenty of water throughout the day. Bottom line: get out there and enjoy some of the most beautiful beach weather we've seen in a while. Just come prepared with sunscreen and respect those rip currents near structures.
