Beşiktaş closed out the 2024/25 Süper Lig season with a dominant 4-0 away win over Bodrumspor, but heartbreak followed as Samsunspor scored two injury-time goals to beat Kayserispor 2-1 — denying the Black Eagles a third-place finish. 18-year-old rising star Mustafa Hekimoğlu stole the show with his first-ever Süper Lig goal in the 12th minute and added another just before halftime (45+1), finishing the season with a bang after also scoring in the Super Cup thrashing of Galatasaray (5-0) at the start of the campaign. Gedson Fernandes scored his 12th of the season, while João Mário converted a late penalty to complete the rout. In the post-match press conference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised the performance but admitted the team "didn’t lose 3rd place today, but earlier in the season." He remains optimistic for next year, stating Beşiktaş will build a strong squad and benefit from early competitive matches.
