In this episode Alicia and I sit down to discuss her being the owner of The ReLaunch and her desire to assist the African American community in monetizing their talents and having structure in their business. She talks about the importance of legitimizing your business and how her passion as a consumer and educator led her to start her business. We also discuss setting our children up for success at an early age and the values of entrepreneurship that can be applied to other areas of life as we learn how to build a legacy in a new way!

In this episode Antoinette and I sit down to discuss her being the owner of Clinovacare Medical Research Center and the importance of African American representation in clinical research. She talks about the importance of stewardship and how it was the driving force behind her opening her clinic and what has kept her going for the past 8 years. We also discuss her desire to provide access to healthcare in underrepresented populations and the importance of building a legacy!

In this episode Rhonda and I sit down to discuss her non-profit organization Girl, Get Up Society and how it came to be. Girl, Get Up Society focuses on hope, healing, and happiness through core programs that help women and teen girls overcome anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicide ideation. We also discuss the importance of self care, mental health awareness, and being there for each other as women. Her organization was birthed from overcoming personal experiences and being obedient to the will of God.

In this episode Nikki and I sit down to discuss foster care and adoption from the perspective of someone who has experienced it. We discuss the situations and emotions that result from this environment as well as how you can overcome any circumstances you are faced with. Despite the challenges she faced, Nikki prides herself in being a Survivor and a Hustler! She just wants to shed light on these children and let them know that it's not as bad as it seems!

In this episode we discuss the importance of setting boundaries. Setting boundaries has a direct effect on your mental, emotional, and social well being. We also discuss how not setting boundaries can lead to feelings such as lack of self-worth or feeling unappreciated. Having boundaries creates a space for positive mental health and allows you to deal with and overcome whatever comes your way! Life happens and it's ok.
