A praying church is a powerful church.  A praying person is a fruitful person.  One of the most fruitful contributions made by true disciples on behalf of the body of Christ is to become an individual with an authentic prayer life.  What if a part of our prayer life was to fill our prayer time with intentional thanksgiving and blessings spoken on behalf of others?  Pastor Chris Jones urges the church to pray for each other, not only out of need or duty, but constantly, and out of a sincere heart and affection for one another.  It's a discipline that turns into love.

Luke 24 describes an encounter two disciples had with Jesus after His resurrection on the road to Emmaus. Once Jesus revealed Himself, he vanished, and his followers asked each other, "Didn't our hearts burn within us..." Closeness to Jesus left a burning within.
