Scripture reveals that Jesus constantly intercedes for us at the Father's right hand. When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we can envision Jesus translating each petition to the Father on our behalf. As we ask for God's name to be hallowed, Jesus tells the Father how we want Him at the center of our lives. When we pray for His kingdom to come, Jesus asks the Father to expand His work in our lives. Each petition becomes an opportunity for Jesus to advocate for God's perfect will, provision, forgiveness, protection, and glory to be manifest. These accounts reveal God's character as one who responds to desperate cries for help with swift and decisive action. And the beautiful truth is that He still delivers His children today.
