Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2569571/fan_mail/new] Some choices do not come when life is calm. They come when everything has already fallen apart. In this episode, Bob talks through three major choices that changed the direction of his life: joining the Marine Corps after his father died, choosing to rebuild after divorce, and deciding what to do with the pain after Madison’s passing. This is not an episode about blame, fault, or pretending we control everything that happens to us. We do not. But even when life hands us something we never asked for, there comes a point where we have to decide what we are going to do next. Every choice has a cost. Every path leads somewhere. And not choosing is still a choice. Take what’s useful. Leave what’s not. Choose and keep moving If this hit, share it with someone who needs to hear it.  Connect & Follow: Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast [https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast] Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast [https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast] TikTok → https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] YouTube → https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] Presented by Madison’s Path https://madisonspath.com [https://madisonspath.com]

Episode 25 - The story behind the Man in Motion

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2569571/fan_mail/new] I started recording a completely different episode—and stopped because it wasn’t honest. So instead, I answered the questions I keep getting: Who am I? Why do I have a podcast? What qualifies me to talk about any of this? In this episode, I tell the story behind The Man in Motion—from the Marines, divorce, and years of stuffing everything down, to the loss of our daughter Madison, GriefShare, Madison’s Path, and the work that followed. I’m not a therapist, and I’m not here to pretend I can fix you. This show is my response to being on my knees, asking for help, and finding almost no one there. It is me offering my hand and telling you that you’re not alone, you have value, and you deserve a better life than you’ve given yourself. This is why I started The Man in Motion. If this hit, share it with someone who needs to hear it.  Connect & Follow: Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast [https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast] Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast [https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast] TikTok → https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] YouTube → https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] Presented by Madison’s Path https://madisonspath.com [https://madisonspath.com]

Episode 24: You Thought “I’m Good” Was the Answer. It Wasn’t.

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2569571/fan_mail/new] Men say “I’m good” all the time. Or "I got this."  Or maybe it's "I'll figure this out." Sometimes it’s true. Sometimes it’s just the fastest way to end the conversation. The problem is, most of us accept it and keep moving. But what happens when something feels off? What happens when you ask again — and this time, you actually mean it? This episode is about noticing the men around you, asking the real question, and being willing to stay when the answer is heavier than you expected. Because sometimes brotherhood means asking again. And sometimes it means being there long enough to hear the truth. Take what’s useful. Leave what’s not. Choose — and keep moving. If this hit, share it with someone who needs to hear it.  Connect & Follow: Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast [https://www.instagram.com/maninmotionpodcast] Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast [https://www.facebook.com/TheManInMotionPodcast] TikTok → https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://tiktok.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] YouTube → https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast [https://youtube.com/@themaninmotionpodcast] Presented by Madison’s Path https://madisonspath.com [https://madisonspath.com]

Episode 23 - You Don’t Have to Be Soft to Stop Being Numb

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2569571/fan_mail/new] Somewhere along the way, a lot of men got handed two bad choices. Be the stone wall. Or become something that feels fake as hell. And if those are the only options, I understand why a lot of men choose silence. But I don’t think those are the only options. This episode is about the space in between — the place where a man can be honest without falling apart, strong without shutting down, and real without turning his life into a performance. It starts with a friendship that probably doesn’t make sense from the outside. But maybe that’s the point. Take what’s useful. Leave what’s not. Choose — and keep moving. Episode 22: God, I Hate This... Don't I?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2569571/fan_mail/new] Anger can feel clear. But sometimes the thing we think we hate is only part of the story. In this episode, Bob talks about burnout, frustration, and the uncomfortable moment when a long-held assumption starts to crack. What if the anger is real… but the target is less clear than we thought? This is a conversation about work, resentment, perspective, and learning to ask a better question before we stay too long, walk away too fast, or burn the whole thing down. Episode 22: God, I Hate This… Don’t I? Take what works. Leave what doesn’t. Choose — and keep moving.
