This episode features five interviews from the Small Press Expo 2013, held this past weekend in Bethesda, Maryland. Greg got a chance to talk to MARCH's Nate Powell (artist) and Andrew Aydin (co-writer), COPRA's Michel Fiffe (creator), THE BUNKER and TIME F*CKER's Joe Infurnari (creator), and Lost Art Book's Joe Procopio (publisher). All that adds up to almost ninety minutes of audio goodness from the comics love-fest that is the Small Press Expo.

An Oral History of Judge Dredd #1

Judge Dredd has been continually published since 1977, and has had some of the most creative minds to ever work in comics tell his tale. As a result, there have been some out-of-this-world story beats woven into the fabric of the character. We thought it's be interesting to talk with the writers and artists behind Mega-City One and see what their favorite bits of Dredd's history are. This week Arthur Wyatt and Henry Flint take us out into The Cursed Earth to hunt for a tale that can never be published again!

For today's episode Mike sits down to chat with Arthur Wyatt and Henry Flint, the creators behind the Dredd movie sequel that begins in this week's Judge Dredd Megazine. Titled Dredd-Underbelly, the story takes place roughly one year after the events of the movie. While busting up a human trafficking ring, Judge Anderson finds that there's more to this operation than originally thought. It quickly becomes apparent how grim things can get in the underbelly of Mega-City One, and Judge Dredd is brought on board to help get to the bottom of things. Don't miss this story!

A little interview duet for you today: artist Ethan van Sciver and writer Charles Soule! Harry caught up with Ethan at the artist's signing at Baltimore's own Collector's Corner this past Fourth of July weekend, while Greg sat down with Charles at HeroesCon back in June. Keep those dates in mind when listening, so if you're wondering why they weren't asked about such-and-such project, chances are it hadn't been announced at the time of the interview. Joe Casey

This episode Mike and Greg sit down to talk with writer extraordinaire Joe Casey. On Wednesday July 3rd Joe's latest work, Catalyst Comix will be hitting shelves. Along with artists Paul Maybury, Dan McDaid and Ulises Farinas, Catalyst Comix is the latest re-imagining of characters from Dark Horse's Comics Greatest World line. Joe has taken what is almost an anthology approach to this title, splitting each issue into three parts to show the entire cast of characters dealing with one central event. This book is chock full of cosmic superhero action and is certainly not to be missed.
