Interesting right? Seems that there are a number of ways to look at this particular issue and we’re lucky to have many of these diverse views discussed here. Another topic we dive into (and, admittedly, a common theme for this show) is the role these ‘Ginormous’ internet companies have in shaping the future social reality as they dominate our virtual worlds. It’s a little funny too because we recorded this episode only days before congresses around the world launched their attacks on these large organisations in the form of law suits and taxes. We began by talking about social media and the problems with Twitter censorship, FB not censuring and TikTok just taking over everything. Then we moved into a discussion on AI and the replacement of human contact with artificial social bots and what the pandemic has brought us.
