Warren relates his experience with Arnel to Elise, Columnban, Yaromir and Artanock. Warren, Columnban and Artanock continue the search for Marcus. Columnban encounters Malog. Artanock and Warren learn the truth about Victor Sanctorum. They rescue Marcus, only to discover his betrayer.

Chapter Fifteen: Captive

Warren wakes imprisoned, chained, freezing and hungry. His captors bring a second prisoner into his cell, a suffering named Arnel who holds a dark secret. Using the Rioch, Warren escapes his bonds and cell.

Chapter Fourteen: The Search

Warren and Columnban begin their search for King Marcus. After crossing by rooftop and finding the dungeons, they disguise themselves in uniforms from beaten guards. They search the dungeons. They return to Elise and escape Raurim back towards Calorthang.  The camp is attacked.

Chapter Thirteen: Raurim

After a frustrating practice with Columnban, Warren lashes out. Elise with her entourage arrive at Raurim to meet King Tanach and his Fantik. They get permission to search the capital. Tanach warns them of Malog.
